Classic Mint Julep

Southern Tradition in a Silver Cup

The Mint Julep is the signature cocktail of the South and a Masters weekend essential. Served icy cold, it’s refreshing, bold, and steeped in heritage.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 8-10 mint leaves (plus sprig for garnish)
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • Crushed ice

Instructions:

  1. In a julep cup or rocks glass, muddle mint leaves with simple syrup.
  2. Add bourbon.
  3. Fill the glass with crushed ice and stir until the outside of the glass frosts.
  4. Top with more crushed ice and garnish with a mint sprig.

Serving Tip: Traditionally served in a silver or pewter cup, the colder the better.
